Comics Workshop w/ Shawn Cheng

Learn how to make comics with cartoonist and professor Shawn Cheng. In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of cartooning (drawing in a simplified/stylized way to allow for repetition and expression) and comics (making and arranging drawings in a narrative sequence). You will explore the basic mechanics of comics as a storytelling medium, and create a simple 8-page minicomic. You are welcome to come with characters and stories in mind, or make them up on the spot using helpful prompts. All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own as well.
