Join artist and educator Natalia Slattery for a recurring watercolor workshop series where each session explores a fresh and engaging theme—coming up: Animals & Pets, and Coastal Landscapes! In every class, you’ll build on essential watercolor techniques such as color mixing, brush handling, and layering washes while working with inspiring subject matter. Ideal for beginners looking to dip their brushes into watercolor for the first time, as well as more experienced painters seeking to refine their skills, these two-hour workshops offer a fun, supportive environment and plenty of hands-on practice to help you grow as an artist. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Animals & Pets: Tuesday, June 10th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Dogs, cats, and birds, oh my! Painting animals can be intimidating, but in this two-hour workshop, students will learn the basics of painting all creatures furry and feathered. Students will learn the fundamentals of painting in watercolor, including washes, brush technique, and color mixing, with a particular focus on texture and movement in animal forms. Coastal Landscapes: Monday, July 14th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm Capture the essence of a special location in watercolor! In this two-hour workshop, students will explore the particulars of painting landscapes, such as perspective and painting objects from nature.
